West Valley Fire Station provides a bin for sharps and needles drop-off.Sharps must be in an approved container and labeled Sharps Waste or have the international bio-hazard label.Bio-hazard Sharps Container Requirement: 1 quart or 1 1/2 quart size container.Definition of approved containers: Container must be rigid, puncture resistant, unbreakable, leak resistant with a tightly sealed lid.No glass jars, soda bottles, or milk jugs are accepted because these containers are not puncture proof.Sharps disposable containers can be purchased at local pharmacies.
