Santa Clara City Central Park Library accepts gently used books, textbooks, CDs (music), and DVDs (movies). Does not accept encyclopedias, readers digest volumes, magazines, conference proceedings, books on CD or cassette, or VHS tapes. Does not accept damaged, dirty, or moldy items.
Please bring your books, movies, and music to the Friends of the Library Bookstore in the Central Park Library in the lobby or drop them in the bin outside the Friends Bookstore. If you have multiple bags or boxes of books to donate and need help unloading your vehicle, please make a reservation and we will have someone on hand to assist you. Battery recycling for City of Santa Clara residents only. Types of batteries accepted: alkaline button cell, AA, AAA, C, D, and 9V Lithium-ion. NO rechargeable batteries or nickel-cadmium batteries. For added safety please tape the ends of the battery terminals before placing into the receptacle. Drop off during regular business hours only.
The exclamation point icon represents materials which are classified as hazardous waste. These materials must not be placed in trash or recycling bins, and can be handled properly by hazardous material collection programs and providers listed on this site.
