To recycle used motor oil and oil filters curbside, you must use GreenTeam of San Jose-issued oil jugs and filter bags which are designed to prevent leaks. To order the free oil jugs and filter bags, visit sanjoseca.gov/311, dial 3-1-1, or call (408) 535-3500. Please make sure to place filled oil jugs and filter bags on the curb near your recycling carton your collection day.
GreenTeam of San Jose also provides temporary roll-off boxes for rental to commercial businesses, complexes, contractors and residents in San Jose; in the commercial and industrial areas of the City of Milpitas; and in the industrial areas of the City of Santa Clara.
